Furthermore, relates this experience report to the subject “Geography Teaching and Teacher Training", offered by Geography Master Degree Programme from Universidade do Estado de Mato Grosso. The discussion proposed aims to understand the importance of the geography teacher's role in the transformation of the bodies and minds of students who participated in this event. The methodology used was based on bibliographical references and on participant observation to understand primordial data for the elaboration of the work. It is hoped that this discussion can contribute to promoting the continued participation of teachers, students, and volunteers in events like this since they are lessons learned and acquired for a lifetime

2025-10-23T23:52:18+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Eletrônica da Associação dos Geógrafos Brasileiros, Seção Três Lagoas https://periodicos.ufms.br/index.php/RevAGB/article/view/20197 SEGREGAÇÃO SOCIOESPACIAL EM SÃO JOSÉ DO RIO PRETO/SP: UM ESTUDO SOBRE A PRODUÇÃO DO ESPAÇO URBANO 2025-11-14T18:42:03+00:00 Luiz Henrique Mateus Lima luizlimahm@gmail.com
São José do Rio Preto is a city that has in its history a production of space
marked by inequalities. Despite being founded in the 19th century, it was only in the 20th
century that it began to play an important role in the state of São Paulo, especially after
the arrival of the railway in the region in 1912. Its first official urban planning policy it was
implemented in the 1950s, leaving signs of a separation between the regions occupied by
the more and less wealthy classes. This practice of agents producing space – especially
capital and the State – was maintained throughout the following decades, worsening the
separation and placing segregation as a content in the production of urban space in Rio
Preto. Thus, our objective in this article is to analyze the influences of these agents on the
becoming of this city, which transformed the urban landscape into a mosaic organized in
areas occupied by the poorest city dwellers, the middle class and the local elite. In this city, even the least attentive people can notice that there is an evident disparity, a
segregation that denies the urban area as a meeting place.
KEYWORDS: São José do Rio Preto; State; Segregation; Capital.
2025-10-23T23:57:13+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Eletrônica da Associação dos Geógrafos Brasileiros, Seção Três Lagoas https://periodicos.ufms.br/index.php/RevAGB/article/view/20368 POVOS TRADICIONAIS E CONSERVAÇÃO AMBIENTAL: UMA ANÁLISE DO REGISTRO TICCA 2025-11-14T18:42:03+00:00 Emanueli Minatti emanueli.mgeo@gmail.com Flávia Akemi Ikuta flavia.ikuta@ufms.br
This work aimed to understand how the international registry of Indigenous Peoples’ and Community Conserved Territories and Areas - ICCA contributes to the recognition of the role of traditional peoples in nature conservation in the current Brazilian legislative scenario. An analysis of the ICCA Registry was carried out, considering its positive and negative points as a tool for recognizing conserved territories. Based on bibliographical research and open data analysis, it can be observed that current legislation is not sufficiently comprehensive when it comes to traditional peoples and this is reflected in the lack of actions regarding the recognition of their territories and ways of life. The ICCA registry in this context presents itself as an important tool for recognizing and strengthening traditional territories, however, it does not necessarily reflect concrete actions in the demarcation and resolution of territorial conflicts.
2025-10-23T23:59:05+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Eletrônica da Associação dos Geógrafos Brasileiros, Seção Três Lagoas https://periodicos.ufms.br/index.php/RevAGB/article/view/21453 A INTEGRAÇÃO DE CHAPADA DOS GUIMARÃES À DINÂMICA METROPOLITANA 2025-11-14T18:42:03+00:00 Lina Patricia Giraldo Lozano ligiral@yahoo.com
The exponential increase in the population of Chapada dos Guimarães since the 1980s has implied a significant expansion of the urban area of the city, wich was not accompanied by basic sanitation infraestructure and public policies for the integration of the population into the labour market. This situation has resulted in an increase in the vulnerable population whitout access to housing, a factor aggravated by problems of lacking of land regularization. Socioeconomic disparities and difficulty in accessing housing, have exacerbated territorial conflicts, leading the most impoverished population to occupy land in the suburban area of the municipality. In 2016 Chapada dos Guimarães was incorporated into the metropolitan region of The Cuiaba River Valley, however, the integration of this municipality into the metropolitan dynamics through the exploration of natural resources, tourism and real estate expansion, precedes the institutionalitization of this region. The present work seeks to study the origins of this integration process and discuss the contradictions and socio-spatial conflcts that arise in Chapada and are due to the metropolization phenomenon.

KEYWORDS: Chapada dos Guimarães; Metropolization, Residual Modernization, land conflicts, socio-spatial segregation.
2025-10-24T00:02:26+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Eletrônica da Associação dos Geógrafos Brasileiros, Seção Três Lagoas https://periodicos.ufms.br/index.php/RevAGB/article/view/21984 O CRÉDITO RURAL E OS CAPITAIS FICTÍCIOS NA MICRORREGIÃO GEOGRÁFICA SUDOESTE DE GOIÁS: UMA APROXIMAÇÃO QUE IMPULSIONA A TERRITORIALIZAÇÃO DA PRODUÇÃO DE COMMODITIES AGRÍCOLAS 2025-11-14T18:42:03+00:00 Anibal Machado Tannuri anibal.tannuri@gmail.com
The work aims to present how the approximation of the traditional credit system with the financial market occurred. To this end, we analyze how fictitious capital was fundamental in this process and verified how the financial instruments created since 2004 in Brazil contributed to the process of territorialization of interests linked to agribusiness, with a greater focus on soybeans produced in the Southwest Geographic Microregion of Goiás (MRSG). We used data on rural funding granted to the 18 municipalities of the micro-region in focus. Thus, in addition to the information provided by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) through the National Rural Credit System (SNCR), we also use data from the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) and the Brazilian Stock Exchange (B3). From the data accessed, we show how the Rural Product Notes (CPR), the Agribusiness Letters of Credit (LCA), the Agribusiness Receivables Certificates (CRA) and the Agribusiness Investment Funds (FIAGRO) modify access to agricultural credit. As a result, the work shows that these fictitious capitals were the form used by capitalists, and promoted by the State, to enable a type of agricultural financialization that focuses on the production of agricultural commodities and, in particular, soybeans, its main target in MRSG. It also shows that private agricultural financing has grown substantially in recent years, increasingly following the market logic guided by the capital market.
2025-10-24T00:10:49+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Eletrônica da Associação dos Geógrafos Brasileiros, Seção Três Lagoas
