The present article, labor of a post-graduation conclusion paper, aims to analyze the school curriculum as the individual’s socializing mechanism, utilizing Brazil’s National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) as paramount part of this process, analyzing themed units and skills from Elementary School’s 1sr, 2nd and 3rd grade. Our essay is justified by the interest in comprehending Sociology and how it established its beginning as a school subject up until current days and the importance of school in the educational process regarding the child’s development. We utilize Geography 's curricular component, which comprehends the individual' s Self and their relation to the world. The methodology applied is bibliographic review highlighting the education concepts understood as the individual 's process of socialization. Thus, considering the research’s context, it’s understood that the present paper may help comprehend the importance of the school’s role in children’s formation process during Elementary School I, and the developing of a socially situated thought constructed in an independent manner inside the classroom and in their experimented reality.

FROM INTERMITTENT SOCIOLOGY TO CURRICULAR INTERMITTENCE

The history of teaching Sociology in Brazilian basic education is marked by intermittence. Brazilian Sociology has developed reflections on this condition, which with the new LDB found itself entangled in concepts of citizenship and interdisciplinarity. The development of the educational system structure brings the implementation of the New High School and the BNCC. We intend to participate in the current debate on the need for educational reforms.

This article is part of my master’s dissertation and discusses the phenomenon of violence against women with and without the use of alcoholic beverage by men in agrarian reform settlelment called Bebedouro, located in the rural area of the municipality of Nova Alvorada (MS). The methodological procedures were done with ethnographic field work and oral history using the interview technique. The research considerations reflect that the use of alcohol cannot be understand outside the socio-cultural context in which it is exercised, as well as gender education and the values associated with the female and male that interfer in the composition of male chauvinism and practices of violence against female audience.
