Keywords:
Historical memory processes, Critical ethnography, Critical discourse studies, Colombian armed conflictAbstract
This is a methodological proposal to address the processes of memorialization, in doing this they can
be studied aiming the peace building, also to the transformation into a fairer and equitable country. These processes, taken as a culture, are likely to be studied from the anthropological lens through critical ethnography which is presented as a tool, to deal with the victims’ experiences and memories, as well as the initiatives that by solidarity other agents have created around them; this actions supplies inputs of narratives ways, for dictate a critical analysis multimedial and multimodal discourse. This historical memory initiatives study does not intend to suggest solutions, but it pretends to propose alternatives for future political decisions. Along with the usefulness of critical ethnography, critical studies’ concepts are grounded on the Colombian macro-context of the armed
conflict, thus provide a more propitious reading of these historical memory initiatives. For this reason, from the
experiences and memories we aim to highlight some general aspects that allow us to characterize the different processes.
