A FORMAÇÃO CULTURAL DOS/DAS DOCENTES DE CAPOEIRA COM NÍVEL SUPERIROR
Abstract
This research project is born from reflections and experiences in capoeira, over more than two decades of practice. Listed by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, it is an art that goes beyond the paradigms of sport and sports practices, contemplating diversities of knowledge and actions in the context of its practices. Capoeira teachers are the ones who live with this ancestral practice, whose main characteristic is the oral and spontaneous transmission of knowledge. It can be said that at the end of the 20th century, these capoeira teachers accessed higher education and added higher education to their identities. From these reflections, the research problem of this project arises: How is academic and popular education synthesized in the contextual performance of capoeira teachers with higher education? The general objective is to investigate how the negative dialectic between academic and popular education occurs in the pedagogical performance of capoeira teachers with higher education, considering the social contexts in which they are inserted. The research methodology consists of two stages: the first is based on ethnographic instruments (questionnaire and interviews); the second stage focuses on the documentary and bibliographic dimension in the analysis of theses, dissertations and monographs produced on capoeira with the theme of teacher training. The analysis of these results will be based on Critical Theory of Society, Cultural Studies, research in the field of education and culture, among others.
