EXPERIENCE REPORT ABOUT A TEACHER’S PARTICIPATION IN I OLYMPIAD AND II STATE SCIENTIFIC EXHIBITION OF TRADITIONAL COMMUNITIES, QUILOMBOLAS, AND INDIGENOUS

This paper reports an experience lived by the author at the I Olympiad and II State scientific exhibition of traditional communities, quilombolas, and Indigenous at Cuiabá -MT. Furthermore, relates this experience report to the subject “Geography Teaching and Teacher Training", offered by Geography Master Degree Programme from Universidade do Estado de Mato Grosso. The discussion proposed aims to understand the importance of the geography teacher's role in the transformation of the bodies and minds of students who participated in this event. The methodology used was based on bibliographical references and on participant observation to understand primordial data for the elaboration of the work. It is hoped that this discussion can contribute to promoting the continued participation of teachers, students, and volunteers in events like this since they are lessons learned and acquired for a lifetime
