Abstract

The urban parks can bring quality of life to the population of any brazilian locality since well planned and projected. The Cascavel Park, in Goiânia (GO), has been affected by disorderly occupation and by real estate pressures that lead to environmental degradation and that generate the loss of its original purpose, that is, a place intended and intended as a recreational area with a function to increase urban environmental quality. Thus, the objective was to verify and analyze the anthropization, implantation and interferences carried out along and in the vicinity of the Cascavel Stream Park in Goiânia / GO from 2017. The methodology used was analytical that included fieldwork, photographic records and consultation of documents and scientific works related to the area of ​​study and adjacencies during the first half of 2017. The park in question has to be recovered quickly and efficiently to which is a sustainable environment, protecting the Cascavel Stream and the fragments of ciliary vegetation, besides providing an environment of leisure, recreation and practice of exercises and sports to the population.
