Abstract

Geography as a science of space has the function of explaining the dynamics between the elements that make up concrete reality, since geographical space is a social dimension. Thus, the present work aims to draw an analysis about the productive restructuring of the Pioneer Group and the consequent geoeconomics dynamics in the chicken production chain in Pioneer North of Paraná, incorporating in such proposal the conjunctural elements and the BNDES role in this process. For the construction of this article, field and bibliographic research were used as methodological elements. Through this analysis, it was verified that the elements of the political and economic situation of the 2000s were preponderant for the productive restructuring of the company, being that the capital contribution from  BNDES to the referred group was the result of this conjuncture, making possible new multiscale geoeconomic dynamics.
