GERAÇÃO, CONSCIENTIZAÇÃO, TRATAMENTO E DESTINAÇÃO DOS RESÍDUOS DA ESCOLA ESTADUAL LUIZ BASTOS, CANAPI/AL

Abstract

Due to the impacts that the inadequate disposal of waste causes to the environment, the theme has been debated worldwide. In a consumer society like the current one, waste generation is inevitable; and the excessive increase in production and incorrect disposal are the major problems. Therefore, for the school, it is vitally important to create an environmental awareness among the learners, making them actors with new attitudes and interest in the environment in order to guarantee quality of life for current and future generations. To discuss the problem of school trash, aiming to generate a behavioral change and formation of new habits in the students. Therefore, the objective of the work is to discuss the issue of garbage at the State School Luiz Bastos, verifying and proposing educational actions that raise awareness, alert and minimize the production and disposal of these wastes. For this, in addition to a bibliographical review, an expositive class was held, photographic record, interviews, lectures, workshops and socialization seminar. As a result, it was found that students gained new knowledge about the subject and changed behavior regarding the production and disposal of waste in the school environment.
