Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors must confirm that they comply with the requirements listed below. Submissions that do not comply with the journal’s guidelines may be returned for correction before being sent for peer review.
• The contribution is original and unpublished, has not been published and is not under simultaneous consideration by another journal, book, edited volume, conference proceedings or other publication venue. When the manuscript has been deposited on a preprint server, this information has been communicated to the editorial team.
• The manuscript has been prepared using the journal’s mandatory template and submitted in DOC or DOCX format.
• The text complies with the formatting, structure, citation and reference requirements presented in the Guidelines for Authors and in the journal’s template.
• The manuscript complies with the length requirements for the selected type of contribution.
• Figures, charts, graphs, tables and images are included in the body of the text, properly identified, numbered and accompanied by a title or caption.
• Electronic addresses, DOIs and other persistent identifiers for references have been provided as active links, when available.
• The manuscript file does not contain names, affiliations, acknowledgements or other information that could identify its authorship.
• References to the authors’ own works that could reveal their identity have been temporarily replaced by the expression “AUTHOR”, followed by the year, both in the body of the text and in the reference list.
• All authors have been registered in the system in the correct order of authorship, with their names, email addresses, institutional affiliations and other mandatory information.
• All authors have an ORCID iD entered and authenticated in the system.
• Institutional affiliations have been entered in a complete and standardised form, including the ROR identifier, when available.
• The individual contributions of all authors have been reported in accordance with the CRediT taxonomy.
• The Data Availability Statement has been duly completed in the specific section of the template, indicating the availability of and conditions of access to data, codes or supplementary materials, the reasons for any access restrictions, or that data sharing does not apply to the work.
• The Generative Artificial Intelligence Use Statement has been duly recorded in the specific section of the template, indicating the tool used and the purpose of its use, when applicable.
• The statements incorporated into the template have been completed in full and do not need to be submitted as separate supplementary files.
• The supplementary documents required for the type of submission have been duly completed and submitted.
• The authors have read and agree to the Peer Review Policy, the Copyright Notice and the journal’s other editorial policies.
Copyright Notice
Authors retain copyright over their works and grant Guavira Letras the right of first publication.
By submitting the work, the authors declare that they hold the necessary rights over the content presented and authorise its publication and distribution under the terms of the licence adopted by the journal.
The authors are responsible for the originality, integrity and authorship of the work, for obtaining the necessary permissions to use images, interviews, documents and third-party content, and for complying with the applicable ethical and legal standards.
The authors authorise the journal to carry out the editorial procedures required for publication, including revision, standardisation, layout, format conversion, assignment of persistent identifiers, digital preservation, indexing and dissemination of the work.
By completing the submission, the authors confirm that they have read and agree to this statement and to the editorial policies of Guavira Letras.
