REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA: CONSIDERANDO AS PESQUISAS SOBRE A SAÚDE DA POPULAÇÃO RIBEIRINHA

Abstract

Theme: integrative review considering the research on the Health of the Ribeirinha Population in Brazil;

Objectives: to analyze what studies are being carried out related to the Brazilian riverine population, and to identify expressions that affect the quality of life of these individuals.

Method: integrative review study. In order to select the articles, the PRISMA strategy was used, and for the collection of studies the databases were used: LILACS, MEDLINE, Scielo, Web Of Science, PubMed and periodical capes.

Conclusion: It is possible to affirm through the analysis of the articles, that the articles deal, mainly, about the traditional communities of the North and Northeast regions of the country. It is understood that the riverside population can not be represented only by the riverside inhabitants of the North / Northeast, who maintain an affectionate relationship with the river, that is, despite the common characteristic of living as water peoples, the riverside inhabitants present marked differences related to region and the motivations for staying on the banks of the river, with an impact on health. In addition, it is possible to perceive an epistemological gap in relation to the publications referring to the surveys, with emphasis on the differences between the riverside inhabitants in Brazil
