Abstract

The content of literature on Energy-Water Nexus (NEA) is large and comprehensive, especially with regard to sustainability. However, there is no evidence of many published studies when observing the NEA together with Multicritéria Decision/Aid (MCDM/A), an important and emerging area of knowledge that, among other things, develops methods that assist in the decision-making process Since the concepts and principles of a sustainable energy-water Nexus (NEAS) are not yet fully explored in the context of MCDM/A applications, this study becomes relevant and justifiable, because the visa presents a bibliometric review on scientific production involving NEAS and MCDM/A. The bibliometric analysis performed makes a description of the metrics (e.g., number of publications and citations; most authors , countries and influential sources) to provide, in further studies, a basis for identifying gaps in the development of scientific scientific knowledge opportunities for future research proposals.   Keywords: energy-water nexus; multicriteria analysis; sustainability, decision-making.
