Abstract
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) constitute the global agenda adopted by the United Nations (UN) to promote sustainable development worldwide by 2030, addressing issues such as poverty, education, gender equality, health in a balanced and integrated way. and environment. By exploring how the SDGs are being implemented at the municipal level in the city of Recife, it is possible to understand in more depth how local public policies contribute to overcoming the specific sustainable development challenges faced by the community. Given this, the objective of this research is to identify how municipal public policies outlined in the Multi-Year Plan (PPA) for the 2022-2025 financial year of the city of Recife contribute to the implementation of the SDGs. To this end, an exploratory methodological approach was adopted, using procedures that involve bibliographical research and documentary research. During the research, it was observed that the programs and actions contained in the PPA are aligned with the UN agenda, indicating commitment to crucial issues that are the focus of the agenda. Therefore, the correspondence between the SDGs and the actions proposed in the PPA reflects the municipal government's commitment to sustainable development and a more inclusive and fair future for its citizens.
