Municipal Public Policies and Sustainable Development: The role of Carpina's 2022-2025 Multi-Year Plan in promoting SDG 4.

Abstract

Given the growing importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) globally, this research aims to address municipal public policies related to education in Carpina and their association with sustainable development, in order to identify, through the Pluriannual Plan (PPA) 2022-2025, how the municipality's educational public policies contribute to the promotion of SDG 4. Therefore, a qualitative research approach was chosen, using interviews and document analysis for data collection. The results show that the public policies existing in the municipality's PPA are directed towards SDG 4, the municipal legislation is oriented towards the implementation of these policies, and the challenges presented by managers reveal that the difficulties faced are specific to each school unit.
