Linear Park as a Green and Blue Infrastructure Strategy: Nature-Based Solutions for Mitigating Climate Impacts in Naviraí-MS

Abstract
As urbanization grows, environmental problems in cities intensify, such as flooding and urban heat islands, directly impacting the population's quality of life. In this scenario, Nature-based Solutions (NBS) emerge through green-blue infrastructure to mitigate these effects and promote environmental balance. In this context, the present study analyzed the municipality of Naviraí, through its climatic and meteorological characteristics, and identified heat island points, flooding points, and a lack of green spaces for leisure and sociability. The research was based on a literature review, analysis of studies on linear parks, and an urban and environmental diagnosis of the study area. Thus, the implementation of a linear park along the Touro Stream is proposed. It is concluded that the proposal can contribute to mitigating climate impacts, as well as promoting environmental, social, and landscape improvements in the city.
