AGROCLIMATIC ZONING OF THE INCIDENCE OF ASIAN SOYBEAN RUST IN MATO GROSSO DO SUL

Abstract

Soybean is an important commodity for Brazilian agribusiness, being cultivated in several regions, but diseases are responsible for the reduction in production. In Mato Grosso do Sul, soy cultivation represents an important source of economic development. Therefore, the objective of this work was to evaluate the development potential of Asian soybean rust in the climatic conditions of the productive regions of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul. 2020, taken from the NASA / POWER platform and used to determine the development of Asian soybean rust (DFAS). Using a geographic information system (GIS), they were maps for the DFAS in Mato Grosso do Sul. The climate variables analyzed showed great spatial and temporal variability in the study region. The development of Asian soybean rust showed an occurrence of the high class in the south (September to November) and northeast (December to February) regions of the state, with a predominance below 8%. The middle class for DFAS showed greater predominance in January and February with 70.5% and 73.5% respectively. The lower class was more expressive in the months of October and November with 85.9% and 77.1% respectively.
