Abstract
Decision-making and performance management within university hospitals have been a challenge in many of these units, either to reach higher levels or to maintain them. In view of this, dealing with the context of organizational networks allied to the performance theme can help managers to identify strategic points of relationship to leverage organizational results. Thus, this study aimed to carry out a systematic review on the decision-making process and performance management in network organizations, in the context of Brazilian Federal University Hospitals (HUFs). To this end, searches for articles and reviews were carried out in the period from 2020 to 2021 on the theme presented with the support of the Web of Science and Scopus databases. The analyzes were performed using the VOSviewer and Bibliometrix R software. In this sense, the research front included a total of 380 articles, of which only 16 were review articles. The results highlighted publications of high relevance in number and quality carried out by the United States and China. The study revealed the complementation of network theory by other methodological approaches such as big data, hierarchical linear regression analysis, blockchain.
