SUBJECTIVITY IN CONFLICT:
THE SCHOOL AS A SPACE FOR DISPUTE AND PRODUCTION OF VIOLENCE.

This work is a scientific initiation project (PIBIC) linked to the Psychology program at the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul. It has been approved and is scheduled to begin in August 2025. The general objective of the project is to understand the expressions of violence that occur within the school environment, identifying the types of violence and how they are recorded. The specific objectives include conducting a literature review to support the discussions addressed in the project and identifying the forms of violence expressed in the school unit through its official documents. The main issue to be addressed by this research is school violence in its multiple manifestations—racial, verbal, physical, psychological, property-related, and sexual. To analyze this data, the study will be conducted in three stages: a literature review in the areas of educational, school, and social psychology to provide a theoretical foundation for the research; contextualization of the school community through cartographic methods, allowing the researcher to become familiar with the setting and territory; and finally, fieldwork involving document analysis, which will consist of reviewing student incident records (logbooks, meeting minutes) made available by the school and later analyzed by the researcher. The expected results of the study aim to provide an understanding of the spheres that underlie expressions of violence in the school environment, based on the institution’s official documentation.
