IRAMUTEQ: A USEFUL TOOL FOR SOCIAL AND HUMAN SCIENCES

Abstract

We intend to indicate the methodological procedures for the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data from the Iramuteq software, which is one of the tools for analyzing qualitative data, as it allows identifying themes and patterns in large sets of textual data, in addition to presenting the quantitative occurrence that can be analysis. The Iramuteq software can be an important tool in research in Social Sciences and Humanities, as it allows a deeper and more complex understanding of the experiences and perspectives of the individuals in question. We argue that the appropriation of qualitative and quantitative data from the Iramuteq software can be useful for different theoretical approaches, as it allows researchers to better identify and present the ways in which social and political structures manifest themselves in given contexts.
