“SOU CICLISTA E SOU MULHER”
DISCURSOS E IDENTIDADES
Abstract
The general objective of this work is to analyze processes of subjectivation of women in cycling. The specific objectives are: to describe and interpret the sayings of female cyclists, amateurs to observe the regularities and shifts in terms of what it means to be a woman in the space where men predominate. The woman faces restrictions of the senses in her position, the place of the “pedal” (sports cycling, walking in a group along the roads or even in the city) does not recognize her.The research question is: what are the forms of representation of themselves and the other(s) in their pedal narratives? The corpus consists of sayings collected in a discursive interview with 03 (three) women, with different age groups, members of a pedal group and who pedal routinely. The theoretical-methodological framework is transdisciplinary: Discurse Analysis interfaced with Applied Linguistics (CORACINI, 2007); (DERRIDA, 1973, 2001) (due to Derrida's Deconstruction) and the notions of the subject of Lacanian Psychoanalysis (LACAN, 1998, 2003, 2005). One of the reading gestures makes it possible to glimpse a space dispute that has a discursive memory of identity processe.
