REGIONALIZAÇÃO DO PIAUÍ COMO ESTRATÉGIA DE DESENVOLVIMENTO TERRITORIAL: CONSIDERAÇÕES A PARTIR DA DISTRIBUIÇÃO DE RECURSOS ORÇAMENTÁRIOS
Abstract
In 2003, the State of Piauí started a process of regionalizing its territory for planning and management purposes with a view to territorial development. We investigated the results of this process, which is still ongoing, based on the regional distribution of resources from the State's public budget destined to the execution of projects and actions. To this end, we look at the data regarding the agreements signed between regional agents and state public agencies between the years 2010 and 2020, with the respective regions as recipients of the resources. We note: a) an unequal distribution of resources between regions and between regional agents; b) the execution of sectorial actions and projects with few links between them; c) a concentration of resources among very few regional agents.
