THE ROLE OF PHILOSOPHY IN THE CONTEMPORARY CRISIS

Abstract

The aim of this work is to discuss the present from a philosophical point of view, allying others disciplines, like history, ecology and sociology to the reflection. Departing from the data that we live in a whirlwind of different crises, which can be characterized as a civilizational crisis, we go back in time to link these distinct crises with the sciences. These are contextualized in his birth at Greece to show that, since his beginning, the role of the science as ruler of nature was already thought. The technical development drove us to the environmental crises, from which we can free ourselves only with more technic. At the same time, aspects of the contemporaneous crises are eminently socials and demand a new civilization to be solved. The role of philosophy, as battering ram of the scientific revolution, in the new world is assigned, and the intention of the paper is to illuminate these points.

Felipe Luiz, Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho

Bacharel (2018) e Mestre (2021( em Filosofia pela Faculdade de Filosofia e Ciências da UNESP, campus Marília, foi bolsista PIBIC-CNPq no período 2008-2010, tendo atuado principalmente nos seguintes temas: História da Filosofia (em torno de Michel Foucault) Filosofia Política, Psiquiatria e Psicanálise. Posteriormente, dedicou-se a pesquisar as relações entre o pensamento libertário e o pós-estruturalismo francês. Atualmente trabalha no sentido de desenvolver a noção de "Filosofia da Guerra", tendo pesquisado no mestrado "O conceito de estratégia em Michel Foucault".
