Abstract

The objective of this paper is to establish an starting point for the so-called Alchemy of Laws, shaped with basis within the study of the work Laws, from Plato. The main hypothesis comes from the application, by Plato, of a investigation model that ensure to establish some proceedings and parameters to be observed towards the composition of some law. For that, it was tried to do an reconstruction of some elements touched by Plato in Laws that operate according to the referred model. Afterwards, it was also tried to establish an conceptual cut about the law itself and what is her role as the order’s main gear on the Republic. Finally, the so-called Alchemy of Laws was outlined, standing a position in the sense that it is essential for a Country to have a Theory of Laws that supports it, as well as, within the platonic model, the idealization of these laws is possible through the link between reality and the law.
