Transiting Bodies
Abstract
The book Bodies in transit: existences, subjectivities and representativeness, edited by Antonio Ricardo Calori de Lion and Aguinaldo Rodrigues Gomes, presents us, in its 408 pages, a sequence of twenty articles, divided into three distinct parts: Existences / Resistances; Subjectivities and self-reinventions; and (In) visibilities and representativeness. Punctuating various periods of human history, the set of texts included in the work provides us with an interesting overview of the body and its subjectivities from Roman antiquity to contemporary times.
