RAÍZES SOCIOCULTURAIS, HISTÓRICAS E POLÍTICAS QUE SUSTENTAM O FEMINICÍDIO
índices do Brasil e em Mato Grosso do Sul
Abstract
This article aims to analyze the roots of femicide. In this sense, we will understand the social, cultural, historical, economic and political factors that organize gender relations as they are, culminating in violence against women. The text is divided into three parts: the first presents some data on domestic violence, the rate of rape and feminicide in Brazil and Mato Grosso do Sul, then we typify feminicide, its origin, entering into the concepts of feminism and gender, and finally, we approach aspects of patriarchy, cultural and historical that structure the relations between men and women in a hierarchical, violent and sexist way. The methodology used is based on a bibliographic review about the theme, the concepts that surround it, conceptualizing it historically and socially. With this we understand the cycle of violence, its gradual stages, how it is reproduced socially, institutionally and how we can act collectively to end violence against women through the training of agents working in this field, identifying the stages of violence until culminating in feminicide, preventing it in favor of its end.
