Abstract

This study aims to analyze the participation of the care unit of the Municipal University of São Caetano do Sul as matrix support in Primary Health Care (PHC). The integration of the effort made by municipalities, the educational and social performance of higher education institutions, and a quality service in PHC is an opportunity for research. In this context, the work of the Municipal University of São Caetano do Sul is identified, which in partnership with the municipality of the city established the purpose of implementing a matrix structure in order to improve health care in the municipality. The research is characterized as exploratory, as it seeks to improve, develop, clarify and modify concepts and ideas on the theme that will be addressed, providing greater familiarity with the problem to be discussed.
