MANAGEMENT PRACTICES IN HIGHER EDUCATION:

AN INTEGRATIVE REVIEW ON THE USE OF ENADE RESULTS

Abstract

This research presents an integrative literature review carried out in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel, in the period from 2004 to 2018, aiming to identify what graduate research is addressing on the use of the results of the Exam National Student Performance (Enade). The terms "Enade", "National Student Performance Exam" and "use of results" were used as search descriptors, resulting in 364 surveys, 97 theses and 266 dissertations, delimiting the analysis of 04 dissertations and 01 thesis, which addressed the use . The surveys are carried out mostly by female researchers, in postgraduate programs in Educational Policies, in the Northeast and Midwest regions, in public institutions. The results are used in isolated courses, academic centers or Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), in public HEIs Enade is not included in institutional documents, management or pedagogical practices. In private education HEIs, which seek to improve their undergraduate courses using the results of external evaluations, activities are surrounded by tensions. The challenge of incorporating Enade into the planning process, the curriculum and in decision-making.
