A INFLUÊNCIA DA FAMÍLIA NO DESEMPENHO DA EMPRESA RURAL: UMA APLICAÇÃO DA ESCALA F-PEC
Abstract
This paper analyzed the concept of family effect on the performance of rural family businesses, using the F-PEC scale. The scale is well known for its validity and reliability measured through the dimensions of power, experience, and culture of family businesses. The model was tested in a sample of 65 in rural companies in Sorriso, Mato Grosso, with characteristics of exclusive family ownership, using structural equation modeling, PLS-SEM, to analyze the relationship between the family effect and business performance. The subscale Power does not present a significant contribution and the Culture of commitment was the one that most contributed to the effect of the family. A statistically significant positive relationship was found between the family effect and perceived business performance. Thus, it was concluded that there is a strong relationship between the family effect and the performance of the family business.
