Abstract

This practice report aims to point out to Social Science students the various paths that the professional performance of the sociologist, the anthropologist and the political scientist ) allow you to go beyond teaching. We present the results of the teaching practice applied to the participants of the mini-course “The professionalization of the social scientist and his performance in the labor market: possible paths for the practice of the profession in Brazil”, held at the III International Management Meeting, Development and Innovation (EIGEDIN) of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS/Campus de Naviraí), between September 10 and 13, 2019. In particular, aiming to compose an action matrix, it was presented to the reader (a): the challenges of the role of (a) social scientist in extramural professional performance activities - such as work in legislative advisory, public management, consulting and research and planning institutions. The work's conclusions point to the importance of understanding the diversity of activities in the area, even at graduation, so that graduates can make more conscious choices in the field of professionalization in Social Sciences.
