DESTINAÇÃO DAS SOBRAS DOS PRODUTOS COMERCIALIZADOS EM FEIRAS LIVRES
O caso da feira de Sidrolândia-MS
Abstract
In the municipality of Sidrolândia-MS, producers from settlements use the open market as a distribution channel for their products. However, leftover products, especially vegetables, are quite common, resulting in losses for producers. The objective of the study is to know the destination given to the leftovers of products sold in the open markets of Sidrolândia MS, as well as to propose ways to minimize the damage through the transformation of the leftovers. This is a field survey. Data collection was carried out in June 2022 and had the participation of 12 fairgrounds from the settlements of that municipality. It was found that from their own production, the settlers sell milk and dairy products, meat and vegetables at the fair. Some products are sold, while others are returned to ownership consisting of the reported loss. Due to the lack of knowledge about other ways of reusing the leftovers of non-marketed products, the destination that has been given is animal feeding, considering that most of the leftovers are fruit and vegetable products.
