Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic and the compulsory adoption of remote work in institutions accelerated the discussion about telework. The savings generated by this type of work motivated the federal government to regulate its implementation within the scope of the federal executive. In federal universities, studies for the implementation of this new work regime are on the rise. In this context, the objective of this article was to analyze the perception of workers at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) about remote work carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic and characterize it, based on the results obtained through a questionnaire applied by the Telework Implementation Evaluation Committee, based on Normative Instruction No. 65, of July 30, 2020, appointed by the management of UFG in 2021. From the analysis of the results obtained, it was possible to identify that most of the respondent have: the necessary structural conditions, their work activities are characterized for teleworking, almost all are interested in doing it and they had a positive experience with remote work during the pandemic. Therefore, it is inferred that civil servants have an expectation for the implementation of the new work regime, and the commission should work towards presenting a proposal for its regulation.
