MAPPING OF THE EXTENSION PROCESSES OF A COLLEGE AT THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF GRANDE DOURADOS
Abstract
Processes are fundamental in any institution, forming part of a cycle of entry and exit of inputs, adding value to products or services. Good management guarantees the delivery of satisfactory results to end customers, in addition to providing good returns to the institution, whether private or public. This work aims to identify the processes in the FACE Extension and Community Relations Commission (COEFACE), at the Federal University of Grande Dourados. Specifically, describe and map processes and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This research is a qualitative and descriptive study, being carried out through documentary research at the Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD) and the Faculty of Administration, Accounting Sciences and Economics (FACE), and interviews with the president of the commission and the director of faculty. After collecting and organizing the data, flowcharts were created in Bizagi Modeler, with four flowcharts of the submission processes and final report of extension projects, differentiating the processes with costs and those without costs, followed by the SOPs for these processes. The benefits of process management, especially in the public sector, are evident, resulting in more efficient services and greater transparency in activities. With the analysis of the processes and their stages, flowcharts were created to visually identify the paths taken in each process and for the elaboration of SOPs, which detail step by step from the beginning to the end.
