O DESENVOLVIMENTO DA AGRICULTURA E A INSERÇÃO DE UM NOVO POLO FRUTICULTOR NO CERRADO BRASILEIRO
Abstract
The present work seeks to understand how Brazilian agriculture developed and the creation of a new fruit growing hub in the Cerrado biome, at the same time, it highlights the productive potential of the emergence of this new hub. This preliminary study proposes, through bibliographic surveys and data collection, to provide a contribution towards informing about the potential that the Brazilian cerrado has in relation to fruit production. It was observed that Brazilian agriculture has undergone an intense process of modernization in the last 70 years, marked by capitalist dynamics. The State made it possible, through financial subsidies associated with research and development financing, to create new productive arrangements throughout the National territory. In this way, the Brazilian Government, via Embrapa Cerrados, CODEVASF, EMATER and other public and private institutions, are developing a new Fruit Growing Route, encompassing municipalities in the states of Goiás, Minas Gerais and the Federal District with the purpose of promoting productive inclusion, generating jobs and income for rural producers, at the same time creating a competitive hub in terms of the fruit production chain in specific productions of “Berries”, mainly in the cultivation of açaí and blueberries, fruits that have a higher added value.
