ANÁLISE MULTITEMPORAL DA MUDANÇA DE PAISAGEM E SEUS IMPACTOS
estudo de caso loteamento residencial José Rodrigues
Abstract
The urbanization process in Brazil began gradually in the 18th century, when the country was still predominantly agrarian. However, it was between the 19th and 20th centuries that there was a significant increase in population in Brazilian cities. Urbanization is directly related to the environment, resulting in important environmental impacts due to the concentration of people and productive activities in limited areas. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the environmental and economic impacts of the implementation of the José Rodrigues residential subdivision, located in the city of Jales, São Paulo. The study was carried out during the months of May and June 2023, using documentation of the subdivision, Google Earth images from 2014 to 2023 and visits to the site in September 2023. The residential subdivision in Jales had a neutral environmental impact, preserving the areas of Permanent Preservation (APPs) and water resources. Furthermore, it provided social and economic benefits, such as improvements in infrastructure and increased tax collection. This initiative managed to balance urban development and environmental preservation, bringing benefits to the community in terms of quality of life and municipal resources.
