REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND ITS INTERRELATION WITH THE ECONOMY, PLANNING AND DEMOGRAPHY
Abstract
The general objective of the article was to carry out an initial analysis of Regional Development and its interrelationship with Economy, Planning and Demography. The methodology used in the research was a bibliographic review using the CAPES Journal Portal and Google Scholar as a source of information, and from this search some authors were selected, such as Lemos et al. (2003), Diniz and Crocco (2006), Randolph (2008), Ramos and Wittmann (2009), Lima (2012) and Dallabrida (2017) to compose the theoretical framework of the work. The results point to an interdependence and interrelationship between population, economic activity, planning and institutions such as universities, associations, cooperatives, etc. Thus, it was also possible to understand regional development as a process, in addition to verifying the importance of community participation in this process.
