IMPACTS CAUSED BY TOURISM IN THE ARTISANAL FISHERIES ACTIVITY IN THE CAMURUPIM RIVER IN BARRA GRANDE, CAJUEIRO DA PRAIA, PIAUI
Abstract
The relationship between tourism and the way of life of local communities motivated the production of this article, mainly in relation to artisanal fishing and the development of tourist activity. The aim of this research was to analyze the relationship between tourism and artisanal fishing on the Rio Camurupim, in the district of Barra Grande, in the municipality of Cajueiro da Praia, on the Piauí coast. The methodology used was field research with a qualitative approach, carried out with the application of semi-structured questionnaires, subsidized by direct observation and bibliographic reviews of monographs, articles and books. It was concluded that the relationship between artisanal fishing and tourist activity is not harmonious in Barra Grande.
