Turismo cultural: principais tipos segundo a motivação dos turistas
Resumen
A literatura aponta que o turismo cultural é um segmento firmemente estabelecido do mercado de turismo de massa, marcado pela heterogeneidade em sua composição, no que concerne os vários tipos de turistas culturais. É comum que motivações particulares sejam tratadas como um tipo específico de turismo. O presente artigo aborda os seguintes: a) turismo patrimonial e turismo histórico; b) turismo de legado; c) turismo religioso; d) turismo sombrio; e) turismo literário; e f) turismo étnico. Objetiva-se apresentar um panorama desses tipos; apresenta-se sua definição, as principais discussões presentes na literatura e casos e exemplos úteis para sua compreensão. A metodologia consiste na revisão de literatura analítica, histórica e de estudos de caso. Percebe-se que ainda há certa carência de produção científica acerca de alguns tipos, a exemplo do turismo literário. Além disso, para quase todos os tipos abordados, a literatura ainda se concentra em estudos de caso e discussões conceituais. A delimitação e discussão dos vários tipos de turismo cultural pode ter aplicações práticas interessantes, para o poder público e a iniciativa privada; por exemplo, a identificação de turistas com motivações particulares pode propiciar a criação de firmas especializadas no atendimento desse público. Por fim, a definição e discussão dos tipos de turismo permitem que autores evitem utilizações “frouxas” de termos como “turismo sombrio.” A clareza na definição propicia que vários estudos e pesquisas possam ser comparados, bem como que se crie uma base conceitual para pesquisas mais amplas, que superem a ênfase no estudo de destinos e atrações específicos.
