Abstract

In this reflection we make a proposal of mapping some aspects of what we call the ethics of the obscene and which - according to our interpretation - would go beyond the work of the Argentinian writer who made himself known by the name of Washington Cucurto. Firstly, we define the notion of ethics with which we work - understanding it as a unique relationship that each one establishes with the law – with the intent of immediately analyze some aspects of the literary work Noches Vacías written by this author, in 2003, from a bias that relates it to the project that we believe to be his greatest work: the foundation of Eloísa Cartonera - an editorial cooperative that publishes books with cardboard cover - in Buenos Aires also since 2003. Our analysis, based on the interpretation of the written work and from the editorial construct by the author, led us to find an ethics of the obscene that brings to the forefront aspects that are marginalized in contemporary times and/or considered trash in our society.
