O ENADE COMO FERRAMENTA DE GESTÃO DE UM CURSO DE ADMINISTRAÇÃO PÚBLICA
Abstract
This article presents the results of a research that sought to understand the instrumentation of the National Student Performance Examination (Enade) as a tool to improve the undergraduate course in Public Administration of a Federal Institution of Higher Education (IFES), in the period 2018 to 2020. Methodologically , this is a qualitative case study, using semi-structured interviews with the coordinators of these undergraduate courses. In addition, the document analysis technique was used to verify how the external evaluation is inserted in the Pedagogical Projects of the Course. The questions sought to know the opinions of the interviewees as coordinators of courses and teachers, with a focus on understanding how Enade interferes in the daily life of their professional practice and of students and their contributions to the course. The main results show that: a) the coordinator recognizes the its importance for the management and improvement of the course, although it points out some weaknesses, such as the quantitative approach of the Enade and the Preliminary Course Concept, which often makes it difficult to interpret the results and later use them. b) the updating of the PPC totally excludes the elements of Enade, Evaluation of Undergraduate Courses and Institutional Evaluation. evaluative organizational culture, hinder this process.
