A PERCEPÇÃO DAS POLÍTICAS E PRÁTICAS DE RECURSOS HUMANOS COMO ESTRATÉGIA EM CENÁRIO COMPETITIVO
Abstract
The scenario of technology companies and Internet providers is expanding in Brazil, mainly in regions with low connectivity. People management plays a crucial role in the success of small and medium-sized businesses, therefore, companies within these specifications need to align their employees with their strategy. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate employees' perception of Human Resources Policies and Practices - PPRH in this expansion scenario. All six employees from a business unit, located in the interior of the state of Pará, of a medium-sized Internet provider company, participated in this study. A questionnaire with sociodemographic questions and the PPRH scale was used as a data collection instrument. Half of the factors measured were considered critical: performance and skills assessment, involvement, and remuneration and rewards. While the other half was considered neutral: recruitment and selection, working conditions and training, development and education. Items about remuneration and rewards were the most criticized by participants. It is concluded that the company must review all its actions and people management planning to align strategies that allow them to compete with large companies operating in the internet sector.
