THE BENEFITS OF THE JAPANESE ADMINISTRATIVE MODEL IN THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF ORGANIZATIONS
Abstract
The research discusses the importance of integrating Japanese working methods and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN 2030 Agenda to promote organizational efficiency and sustainable practices. Initially, the organization and its contexts and the global adoption of the 2030 Agenda are defined, introducing the 17 SDGs, which include sustainable economic growth and global partnerships. Japanese management is discussed as a significant influence on organizational efficiency, highlighting techniques such as the Toyota Production System, just-in-time and kaizen. These practices are considered beneficial for reducing waste and promoting improvements, aligning with the SDGs. The research question is how can classical Japanese management practices contribute to the implementation of the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda in organizations? The general objective was to analyze how organizations can achieve certain sustainable development objectives stipulated by the UN through Japanese working methods. The study adopts a qualitative and exploratory approach, including bibliographical research in databases. It is concluded that the study highlights the importance of integrating Japanese working methods and the SDGs of the UN 2030 Agenda to promote sustainable practices and organizational efficiency.
