Las capacidades dinámicas en una cadena hotelera de Paraíba: análisis retrospectivo de 2005 a 2022

Resumen

La competitividad de las organizaciones hoteleras es una preocupación global, especialmente con la aparición de servicios sustitutos y un aumento de la competencia en un contexto turbulento. Además, el sector turístico tiene la estacionalidad como una de sus características, ya que también depende de los cambios en la naturaleza para atraer o generar situaciones de rechazo para los turistas. La costa de Paraíba, ubicada en el noreste de Brasil, continúa enfrentando estos mismos desafíos. Dadas estas características, el objetivo de este estudio fue investigar cómo se implementaron las capacidades dinámicas en una cadena de hoteles en Paraíba entre 2005 y 2022. En esta investigación participaron 7 gerentes generales, 1 gerente financiero y 2 propietarios de la cadena hotelera. Se adoptó la técnica de análisis de contenido y se apoyó en el software ATLAS.ti. El instrumento de recolección utilizado fue la entrevista semiestructurada. Las capacidades dinámicas encontradas fueron la capacidad de adaptación, la capacidad de innovación y la capacidad de mejora operativa. Estas capacidades dinámicas permitieron a la empresa mantenerse competitiva en el mercado hotelero frente a sus competidores. Por lo tanto, dado que el turismo se considera un mercado dinámico, las empresas necesitan transformarse y crear nuevas ideas para tener un rendimiento superior ante la imprevisibilidad del entorno empresarial, siendo esenciales las capacidades dinámicas en este contexto.
