As capacidades dinâmicas em uma rede hoteleira da Paraiba: análise retrospectiva de 2005 a 2022

Resumo

A competitividade das organizações hoteleiras é uma preocupação global, especialmente com o surgimento de serviços substitutos e aumento da concorrência no contexto turbulento. O setor do turismo tem a sazonalidade como uma de suas características, assim como depende das mudanças da natureza para atrair ou proporcionar situações de repulsa aos turistas. O litoral paraibano, localizado no nordeste brasileiro segue com esses mesmos desafios. Diante dessas características, o objetivo deste estudo foi investigar como as capacidades dinâmicas foram implementadas em uma rede de hotéis da Paraíba entre 2005 e 2022. Participaram dessa investigação 7 gerentes gerais, 1 gerente financeiro e 2 proprietários da rede hoteleira. Trata-se, ainda, de estudo de caso longitudinal em retrospectiva. A técnica de análise de conteúdo foi adotada e contou com o apoio do software ATLAS.ti. O instrumento de coleta utilizado foi a entrevista semiestruturada. As capacidades dinâmicas encontradas foram a capacidade de adaptação, capacidade de inovação e a capacidade de aperfeiçoamento operacional. Essas capacidades dinâmicas subsidiaram a companhia para se manter competitiva no mercado hoteleiro perante os concorrentes. Portanto, como o turismo é considerado um mercado dinâmico, as empresas precisam se transformar e criar ideias para ter desempenho superior diante da imprevisibilidade do ambiente de negócio.
