Abstract

to the education of Indigenous teachers at the Intercultural Indigenous Faculty (FAINDI) of the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT). This is a qualitative study, developed from the perspective of an experience report, conducted with students in the fifth stage of the Intercultural Indigenous Pedagogy program. The experience enabled observation of the territory, dialogue among different forms of knowledge, collaborative work, and the collective production of knowledge. The analyses show that, when implemented within this educational context, the field trip is reinterpreted through Indigenous epistemologies, recognizing the territory as an epistemological space and strengthening intercultural and decolonial pedagogical practices committed to traditional knowledge, autonomy, and the agency of Indigenous peoples.
