Abstract

The text addresses the condition of women in patriarchal society, highlighting gender violence as a historical and cultural consequence. The investigated problem is the perpetuation of female marginalization from religious and colonial contexts to the present day, where women are often seen as inferior and subjected to various forms of violence. The objective is to analyze this reality under patriarchal logic, emphasizing the need to ensure basic rights and security for women. The methodology includes a theoretical review based on authors such as Lugones (2014), Hooks (2018), Davis (2016), Akotirene (2019), and González (2020), who discuss intersectionality and the coloniality of power. The main results indicate that patriarchy has indoctrinated society to believe in the inferiority of women, especially Black and Indigenous women, perpetuating sexual and physical violence. The analysis reveals how these cultural practices continue to impact women's lives today, raising questions about the transformation of social, economic, and cultural relationships. The discussion also covers the role of feminism in the struggle for gender equality and the importance of recognizing the diversity of women's experiences.
