Abstract

The feminist movement has evolved significantly over time. The struggle for women's rights has transformed society since its inception, but feminism still faces many adversities and resistance. Many people still mistakenly associate feminism with the idea of women's superiority over men. Historical feminist struggles have been essential in the pursuit of equality, yet it is valid to understand that this struggle is a continuous and arduous process. Intersectionality is fundamental to understanding the oppressions that marginalized women face in their struggles and daily lives. Authors such as Lugones (2008), Akotirene (2019), Segato (2016), Butler (2001), and Spivak (2010) highlight the importance of considering the intersection of gender, race, and class in the analysis of feminist struggles. The deconstruction of patriarchy is an ongoing task for everyone, and feminist resistance is vital for building a more just and equitable society. Keywords: Feminism; Gender inequality; Patriarchy
