INCLUSÃO NO PROJETO POLÍTICO PEDAGÓGICO (PPP): ANÁLISE EM UMA ESCOLA MUNICIPAL DE AÇAILÂNDIA/MA
Abstract
This study examines the role of the Political Pedagogical Project (PPP) in promoting inclusive education at a municipal school in Açailândia, Maranhão, which serves students from the 6th to the 9th grade of the Final Years of Elementary Education. The research investigates how the PPP reflects the legal principles of inclusion and identifies the progress and challenges that emerge in its implementation. The objective is to assess the PPP's alignment with inclusive guidelines and to explore practices and difficulties within the school context. A qualitative methodology was employed, involving bibliographic research, document analysis of the school's PPP, and interviews with two teachers and a support professional. Data triangulation enabled an in-depth analysis, addressing both theoretical and practical aspects. The findings reveal that the PPP outlines directives promoting inclusion, but challenges persist, including limited resources, resistance from educators to change, and gaps in ongoing teacher training. Nevertheless, progress has been observed, such as the use of assistive technologies and collaborative activities that foster interaction and value diversity among students. The study concludes that the PPP serves as a strategic tool for fostering school inclusion, but its full effectiveness depends on increased investments in infrastructure, teacher training, and greater community engagement. The democratic management of the PPP emerges as a positive aspect, strengthening collective commitment to inclusion. However, overcoming identified barriers is critical to achieving an education system that embraces diversity and ensures the right to learning for all. This study contributes to the discourse on school inclusion, highlighting the importance of a PPP aligned with public policies and tailored to the specific needs of its community.
