Abstract
The present work will present an analysis of the speech performed by President Jair Bolsonaro in relation to the pandemic and the health measures put in place, with the aim of delaying the harmful effects of covid-19. In addition, we will conduct a critical appraisal of their targeted attacks on the search for a vaccine and the preventive measures recommended by the WHO. This article has the justification to prove that the anti-vaccine discourse, marked by denial and ideological enactments, triggered an ineffective political management during the pandemic, promoting a high rate of contamination and deaths. To carry out the analysis of the testimonies given by President Jair Messias Bolsonaro, we will use the Semiolinguistic Theory, developed by the French researcher Patrick Charaudeau (2019, 2011, 2005, 1999), to seek if his project of influence and intending to cause meaning effects motivated and encouraged the Brazilian population to slow down prophylactic care in relation to the pandemic. The present research aims to investigate some psycho-socio-language behaviors expressed by the president of Brazil in relation to the vaccine against Covid-19; examine the negationist influence exerted and the effects caused by Bolsonaro, in the socio-discursive imaginary, to the population and analyze the position of the Head of State regarding the dangerousness of the action of the virus for human health; and the recommendations of medicines without scientific evidence.
