UMA ANÁLISE HISTÓRICO-CRÍTICA
Abstract
This work is part of a research study at the doctoral level, in the area of Education, which defends the thesis that the school connects with human emancipation by teaching scientific, artistic and philosophical contents, in a critical and Marxist orientation. We understand that the social configurations that reach the school endorse the hegemonic pedagogical theories, influencing and seeking to redefine the role of the school. A fact that highlights the importance of discussing school education from a perspective that reveals what is not immediately present. In this text, based on Historical-Critical Pedagogy, we use the historical-ontological analysis to explain the historical and social origin of school education and demonstrate its link with certain social interests. We defend that despite the contradictions and material conditions of social life, school education can contribute to human emancipation.
