FICTIONAL BODY AND THE MARKS OF THE CHANCHADA IN CINE HOLLIÚDY (2019)

Abstract

Faced with theoretical perspectives about the body’s political architecture, we understand an approximation between the body / fictional and cinematographic character as constitutive of what is external to the work, as well as the relationship of the imagery narrative with the fictitious beings. The truth materializes as if the images were transparent. In that regard, the body that has become object of analysis and subject of the History has its organization supported by the crossing of images between fiction and reality. Thus, how do these cinematographic bodies work? Are we talking about a character-person or not? Sacred and profane, this body is crossed by the material conditions, subject to negotiations and conflicts, also covered by determined modes and subjectivities. The fictional body has here its materiality in the “chanchada” which is structured as a characteristic of typically Brazilian cinema. Cine Holliúdy (2019) formulates a metafictional language that retakes the “chanchada” as a structure of the narrative itself, which we consider as “metachanchada".

Key-words: Body/character. Cinema. Chanchada.
