Abstract

This paper focuses on the analysis of children's rights in Brazil based on studies nationally published between 2019 and 2024. Therefore, a literature review was conducted in the CAPES Journals database using the following health descriptors: “children's rights” and “public policies” and “infant protection”, published in Portuguese, with open access, on studies focused on children's rights in the country. Nine articles considered relevant to the research were selected and inserted into the following categories of analysis: universal social policies – health; universal social policies – education; social assistance policies and programs and rights guarantee policies. It was observed the need of public policies based on the principles of citizenship and the redefinition of boundaries between public and private action, transparency of actions, accountability to the community, democratic and participatory planning and intersectoral actions.
